Who we are and what we do

Alkington Parish Council consists of 7 elected councillors who serve for a four-year term. All Councillors volunteer their time and do not receive any remuneration.
Being a small parish council, there is no parish office, but the Clerk, Mrs Irena Litton BEM, can be contacted by email through this website. The Clerk works part time and does her best to respond to all communications as soon as possible.
The council does not have any building or land assets.
See the diary of meetings for more information.
Alkington Parish Council elections are uncontested for May 2024. Please see the notice below, which confirms the appointment of Cllrs Richard Coffin, Lindsey Green, Gordon Rea, Marie Wooldridge and Craig Stevenson.
There are two vacancies, so if you would like to become a Councillor, please contact The Clerk.
Next ordinary elections will be May 2028.
